Moody 45DS at Hamilton Island Race Week
Peter Hrones has jumped back on board Cool Change for Hamilton Island Race Week, along with some of the Windcraft crew and Col Thomas, our Queensland agent. After race week the boat will be sailed to Townsville where the rest of the Hrones family will get back on board for another cruising adventure. We will update this page throughout the week and continue to do so as the adventure continues.

30 August 2009 Winds remained light for the last two races on Friday and Saturday. Cool change was again mid fleet with a respectable 14th and 19th place, which considering the wind never got above 10 knots was a good result. After a calm and relaxing week Cool Change is now heading for Townsville, where the Hrones family will jump on board and continue cruising. We will keep you updated on the adventure.

28 August 2009 There was no racing on Wednesday 26 August due to the continuing light winds. The crew from Cool change kicked back by the pool while the crew of the Hanse 540 spent the afternoon at Whitehaven Beach.A handicap start in next to no wind on the Thursday saw a chaotic start of boats drifting in all directions. Some breeze finally kicked in and Cool Change again finished in the middle of the pack. Hopefully the last two races will see some more wind.

26 August 2009 After the first three races Cool Change is placed 18th in a division of 39 boats. Cruising division of course! Each race has seen extremely light winds, with race starts delayed in the hope of some breeze filling in. Although the light conditions aren't ideal ofr the Moody she has still performed well and in great comfort!
